PCs available. And in my town at least, a very understanding place to cool one's heels in..if one has not-good accommodations.
Oh!, and could this lay-off, even if temporary, change the way someone'd listen to you about disability?

Do you have a Salvation Army/United Way in your area? More than likely the SA will be able to find you at least temporary housing if not more. There's also a chance Goodwill might be able to help you with a job and housing.
Also, perhaps your County Judge, has a special fund they use for residents in your situation. I know ours does, they just don't advertise it.
I found out when I was doing crisis intervention yrs. ago and was able to help folks through that fund.
Another possibility is St. Vincent DePaul Society, I know they do a lot of things for folks in need. You can usually find them in the phone book or via a church. It doesn't matter if you are/are not of any kind of faith, they help everyone.
Wish I could think of other resources that might help you but that's about all I can think of ATM.
I sincerely hope you haven't had to end up in your car!!!
If possible, please drop a line to let us know how you're managing?
My hope is that you will get through this and find the strength to move on. I know it is MUCH easier said than done though. Have you tried local churches, salvation army, social services, rent assistance?
I will be hanging out at the library and using my laptop there. I have nothing to look in the want ads for tho. No money for a place to live and no ability to get a job. But I will try to keep in touch here. Thank you to everyone who cares. I will try to contact local churches but doubt they can be of much help. I wrote before about trying to get into local shelters and being turned away, and what scary places they are besides.
I really needed to get on disability, but was turned down twice. Now I am waiting for a third time before a judge. It's really scary. It won't happen till sometime early next year anyway. I don't know if I will still be alive then. I want to die so badly. I hate living every day. It will be so hot in the car. My life is utter hell. Thanks to everyone who cares.
