Sometimes I feel like this feeling of being lonely makes me a bad mother. Why should we feel lonely if we have 15 kids to tend too.?. But it I do like an adult conversation from time to time.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic day.
I live in a valley and have to climb 50 stairs to get to the main road so I am feeling rather isolated. I too wish I had one good friend who would come over for coffee and we can talk.
I miss those days when I used to live in the states and talked for hours in front of my house.
I remember going to dinner with my Uncle and family in California and we took a ride on a sled that went down the hill to the restaurant....it was kind of like outdoor elevator but it went at angle down the hill not straight down and straight up...anyway that was a fancy shmancy restaurant that my uncle took us to...it was south of San Fran a ways but no idea where or what the name of it was....just a free meal for me as an adult at the time....was pretty fun...hugs bill

Today I was thinking about friends, and I was also lonely today, and my friend Spartaa just showed up. It was how I felt after one friend showed up unannounced. Anyhow, I was thinking all of the same things you said in OP. We're all not so different, but I do have to agree, it is difficult to make friends. Another friend said to me, "You have to make your own fun after a certain age."
So, without repeating what others have said about finding friends, what they said was good, even great. I always gravitate to Billwfriends, he seems to think like I do.
I only have 2 friends, they live far away. So I get it about living in a new place, state, city, town, alone. After we moved to Arizona, I missed my family acquaintences/friends in California. Badly. But it has taken me nearly 7 years to find a comfortable *life* being mostly alone here. The man, he works a lot so I am alone most of the day. He goes to bed early, again, I am alone after. I see him for maybe 2 hours, which I guess is better than seeing no one but I want a friend who I can meet and chat with for a few hours every week or so. That is hard to find. I've tried.
So, I create things, hobbies and Netflix series binge watching with exercise breaks for my health......
No matter what, it's hard to be alone. I get that.
