Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
I DO understand totally and im on your side because ive experienced the very same feelings. You just HAVE to beleive in YOURSELF. Thats all you can do. Dont worry about OTHER people that dont matter. If you like a girl and you get the feeling she likes you then go for it. You have nothing to lose......only regrets if you dont bother. Im sure your a lovely person..beleive it. xxxxxxxx
Everybody says 'be yourself" when talking to people, but what if yourself is feeling very low? I always bring out the most happy and confident part of myself in social situations. That way, I'm being myself, but showing my most attractive side.
Hope you feel better soon.
I hold it together when I'm out. I love being around people. This makes it so much harder to spend 99% of the time alone. The minute I turn that key to my apartment I feel sooooooo lonely immediately. I turn on the t.v. first thing for company.
Walk with your head up when you're out. Look and act like you own the world (not to the point where you look snobby) and see what happens.
A couple of years back when I could still get out more, I used to go to this really nice upscale nightclub on the 55th floor of the RIO Suites Hotel Casino. It had a glass elevator on the outside of the building that took you up showing a very pretty view of the las Vegas strip. They had different Jazz groups that preformed there. I went there once a month or so over the course of about 7 years. I usually went up alone to see my Ex boyfriend perform there, he would already be there singing. Well, one night I went with some girls. It was one their Birthdays. We got to the podium at the elevator door and the young Man said........ That will be $30. I said WHAT! I've been coming here for years and it's always been free.
Well, come to find out that it wasn't always free. I have such a look that I have since found out that they thought I was one of the big bosses going up to check on things and no one in 7 years stopped me. I had no idea, no one ever stopped me. I still can't believe it, LOL. I think it's hilarious, LOL.
Point of story is.......... If you walk with confidence, people will respect you.
Keep your head up high and people will say........Thats a person with confidence.
You don't know what is in another person's head. And unless you are acting really strange and smell bad or something, I don't see why anyone would not want you near them in normal situations.
As for the girl thing, she hasn't even said yes and you are imagining if you could sustain a long term relationship with her. You got to walk before you run. Don't get sooo ahead of yourself that you lose perspective of the moment. I have done this a time or two --get ahead of myself in terms of a potential relationship. There should be a natural evolution to any relationship. What's important is keeping the communication open and not just assuming your head what the other person has in their head.
Sounds like you need to lighten up on yourself and any perceived flaws of yourself. Remember, most all people have things they don't like about themselves, though try to concentrate and project those things they do like about themselves.
Hope things go well.
