Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. How many friends is normal to have in a circle when you're almost 30? It sounds so silly but honestly I don't know. I haven't been on here in awhile. Lately I have been feeling lonely. My best friend moved away and literally the same week everyone from my job got fired except for me and one other person. I'm literally at work all day alone , with my clients though they are all nonverbal. It's a lot of change at once , and the social interaction I used to have on a daily basis has definitely decreased. Ontop of that, my fiancé is a very social person. Always wants to meet new people and bring new people around our apartment. But unfortunately a lot of those people turned out to be not so great. I feel like such a brick to him sometimes, because in one sense I want to meet new people. In the other sense the people he brings around use him and just aren't really good friends to him. And I don't feel like I have much of a way to meet new people now because I'm at work all the time. This post probably seems all over the place , but I'm honestly just typing in the order it comes to my head . It sucks having social anxiety but wanting to be social at the same time.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

If you have concerns about his friends using him, I would discuss it with him. See what need these people are fulfilling for him that he is willing to overlook or accept what they take from him.
As for meeting new friends yourself, I think you first need to decide what needs you have that you need them to fulfill. Can your friend that moved away still fill part of them through phone calls and video chats? Do you need someone there in person? Can you and your fiancee fulfill each other's needs without bringing in so many outside people? How does interacting with people on sites like this help? There are so many options but only you know what will work for you.
The key is to be true to what you need. You can't base it on your partner's needs or you will never be happy. Give yourself time. This has been a really messed up year and everyone is trying to figure out what normal should look like now. Your feelings are not only understandable but normal. In the end you got this but if you ever feel you don't you can message me. Prayers and Love.
i'm not used to having any friends so there's that. finding others to talk to online is a treat for me. :o)
if your fiance's friends are shady maybe ask him about them?
hope you feel better soon.
