Hi all,
I got out of a two month relationship in January. It was extremely intense....he had a lot of baggage..a four year old kid, an ex wife, went to rehab after his divorce, he smoked and drank constantly and had anger issues. I accepted him anyway and fell in love with him the moment I talked to him. A month in I confessed my love for him and he said it back, and then continued to say it to me without me instigating it. He then started talking about me moving in, meeting his child, his entire family, and told me he wanted to marry me. Things crashed and burned quickly. I got too attached and he tossed me aside one day telling me he couldn't handle it, he never loved me or meant any of the things he said to me and tried to convince me I was insane, especially for telling someone I loved them after a month. He completely broke my heart.
two months later he slept with me....and then never spoke to me again. When I tried to contact him and win him back, apologizing for everything, telling him how I had changed, he ignored my texts and I later found out he told his friends to go date me so that I never tried to bother him again.
My relationship ended in January but I have been a mess over it ever since. Every day it haunts me and I am in so much pain. Everyone I have dated since I have compared to him, I have cried almost every day...and these last few days have been especially hard. I haven't gotten out of bed at all for two days and have been binge eating. I feel like all of the life has been sucked out of me. I have no trust in anyone and feel completely disillusioned by love. I believed this man was perfect, my soul mate, and that we had this intense passion that couldn't be touched by anyone. He hurt me so much in the way he threw me away and made me feel like I destroyed our entire relationship....i don't know what to do anymore. I wish this pain could just go away. I wish I never met him.....
I'm in a lot of pain right now and just shutting down in every way. I don't want to see anyone but at the same time I am insanely lonely. I can't stop crying. I cant stop obsessing over the past. I cant stop talking about what I have been through but at the same time my family and friends will no longer support my self destruction. They think that a two month relationship was a joke and not worth crying over, but I feel seriously scarred from this. Ive never been so hurt in my life....

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

I do have a few ideas to throw out at you though. 1. It is good that he became an idiot so early in the .....It have been worse. You guys could have married only to have him "throw in the towel" at a later date. So it is good you found out sooner rather than later. You could have invested years into something that was never meant to be.
2. I don't know how old you are but there is someone out there for you no matter what your age. If you can date...do it. You will learn who and what is right for you in the long run.
3. Don't mistrust men just because you came across a rotten apple. There are men out there who truely care and will treat you like the queen you are. Don't give up.
4. By letting this guy cripple you to the point of not eating or getting out of bed.....you are letting him live in your head rent free. You are better than that and deserve a heck of a lot more than he could ever give you.
5. There are people out there who care, me included. Be yourself and let the chips fall. You will do well.
Best wishes.
Learn something positive from this relationship. ( This helps me a lot)
I don't know you but I know as a human being that you deserve better than what this guy gave you. Keep alcoholics and drug addicts out of your life. Smokers aren't so bad lol. I only say that because I smoke. I don't have a problem with a woman if she smoke pot or cigarettes. That doesn't bother me at all. Casual drinking is okay bit make sure that it's casual lol. If he has a drink in his hand at some point every time you see him then you don't need to be around him.
I understand about not wanting to get out of bed and just crying all the time after a breakup. The longing is unbearable, we just are zombielike.
Time is the great healer. And girl, you just work on thinking so much of yourself that NO man will EVER be worth you feeling like this over. You were taken in, you TRUSTED somebody - which is the highest compliment you could ever pay ANYbody - and then they do THIS with your trust and love? He isn't good enough to be called an asshole. I'm so serious.
You just get yourself feeling good again, and know that you are beautiful, and soon you will meet someone nice who knows how to treat decent people. You did nothing wrong, Heyvee. The creep is who did something wrong. If the opportunity ever presents itself, don't even give him the time of day again. xx
