I have this friend who I've known for a long time, we are childhood friends and sometimes we have on and off friendship, we of course fight like all friends and sometimes we go months without speaking... There are times we don't get along, we fight so much and we don't get along for various reasons, We both have things in our lives going on recently but shes been really depressed.. back in the day I would log out of aim, not respond to her texts, leave during our hanging out with an excuse that I had to be somewhere else.. I know thats a bad thing to do.. But she did the same thing to me and she stopped caring about me and my problems (She said she didn't have time for my 11 year old problems anymore. She also said I was using my dads Cancer as an excuse to be a bitch.) She said I was selfish and terrible and It was a mistake to ever be my friend, She wrote something on her blog saying all these things about people never being there for her, never even caring, she says she texts and calls people all the time because she needs someone but every time I talk to her she always just finds a way to tell me my problems mean absolutely nothing.
She told me my problems aren't important and I'm too preoccupied with "shit things" to even care about her, I have cared about her so much, I have given my time and energy to try and help her through all the drugs, the boyfriends, the life problems, the family issues, the eating disorder (Which came back again.) The suicidal tendencies, the self injury... Then she stopped caring about me and my problems.. She wasn't there for me during my hardest times and now she wrote something on her blog saying that any of her past friends should feel sorry when she kills herself.

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

Your friend sounds like she may be suffering from several mental health issues. If that is the case it is often hard for them to focus on anything else but their own issues.
Now you can yell and me and tell me I'm completely wrong, that is ok as I don't really know you. Here is the thing, you said your friend doesn't want to listen to your problems any more. Is it at all possible that you were so wound up in everything in your life (we can all be guilty of this) and didn't realise that the only thing you spoke about was your problems? We can do it without realising. It doesn't make you a bad friend just someone lost in their own troubles. This could of made her feel unwanted and less valued. Just a thought.
If you want to continue the friendship try to rebuild the bridges by being honest with each other. Show compassion for her situation and ask for the same in return. Make sure you give each other equal time to sort out or air the problems you need to talk about. When she puts a cry out for help on her blog (as that is what it sounds like to me) call her and ask her if everything is alright.
Sometimes friendships are not 50/50. Sometimes one gets more, much more than the other but what counts is if you don't mind the ratio and it works for both of you. Some friendships should just not be as they are toxic to both parties. It is sometimes better to dissolve the relationship than to continue on the road of destruction.
Hope you find a resolution to your problem, as only the both of you can.
I once had a friend that I'd known since I was little... for about 10 years- it was a very similar situation to yours. We would hurt each other, then make up, then hurt each other all over again. One day she said something very hurtful to me and I realized that she was never going to change, she was never going to care about me the way that I wanted her to or expected her to and I could either accept that or move on. So I chose to move on... I ended the friendship and haven't spoken to her in several years. And honestly I don't miss it. I am happy that we had some good times, but I know I made the right decision.
You deserve to be happy too, don't let others drag you down. Hugs to you :)
to see a counselor - anyone who threatens to take their own life needs counseling.
Be sure to be guarded if this isn't someone that you can open up to,
without them lashing out or being critical.
