My agoraphobia keeps from going out and interacting with friends and even family. I've been cooped up inside the house for about 2 weeks now. Usually now is when I'd go out and get hammered (which is the only way I can go out and mingle, if you will) But I've decided to quit drinking. Getting cabin fever now though, feeling extremely lonely and bored. What a life.

yes Agoraphobia sucks....I have had several friends who have it...sometimes one of them makes it thru though and can handle getting out to things....

no you would need to get out to make it to appointment and that could break thru for you to getting out some more....so give it consideration...peter the great had good idea....

It takes time to get over agoraphobia. It is great you do have a counselor. He/she I am sure is helping you. Just be patient. I know what it is like. It sucks. But there is hope for you.
