The person who said that too you was obviously trying to hurt you or make you feel bad. That's a much worse personality trait, than letting your true feelings slip out now and then.
I have a very close friend that I have know my entire life. I sent her an email wishing her a happy Mothers Day. She has 4 siblings; and 2 daughters that are both adults. One still living with her; the other only about 30 minutes away. I told her that I hoped her kids were going to take her someplace nice and treat her like she deserves. She works her butt of to give her kids; and the rest of her family anything they want. She works and give's to the point of exhaustion. So I get a reply to my email. No she did not get taken anywhere for Mothers day; and she had just had to put her cat down after 20 years; so she was in a lot of emotional pain. Her entire family just left her alone to suffer by herself on Mothers Day. Who does that?
The I sent her an email asking why she did not call me; her oldest and closest friend to unload on. I have not received and answer yet.. Nor do I think I will. She is a very strong woman; but you can be so strong; you isolate yourself from everyone. I am not saying you are that way; but perhaps you are. I am sure you must have one friend somewhere you can call to just vent all your feelings to. Although; I don't think after this Mothers Day experience with who I thought I could tell anything to did not call me; then maybe I don't have anyone either. As I have been told over, and over, and over my entire life by people. "Life is not fair". And that has certainly proved true. I have found through my divorce; who my true friends are; and who were not. I also learned that my family is the worst of all. I wish you the best in finding a real friend that will let you vent and understand, but you can always come on here for support.
