Hi My name is Kim and I have NF1 Inheirted from my mother .
Have Three daughters...two of them also have NF1.
No major problems for me just bumps and lumps from aging...lol

My other two daughers have had surgeries to remove tumors...my youngest has a MAJOR plexiform turmor doctors tried to remove and did a botch job!
Nothing GOD can't fix.

Lets see. I'm Bitty AKA Ruthy. Born with NF, have a 16yr old daughter, no NF. I enjoy running people over with my power chair (not really but I wanted to see if you were paying attention). Am disabiled because of NF, had Major surgery this past July, losing the use of my legs saved my life. They removed 17 tumors and debuilcked one. Had MRSA also because of a fall in the care center. Had Spinal Fluid leakage twice, had 2 diffrent surgerys to fix, spent many many many days in ICU. If it was not for my close friends and my NF family i dont think I would of made it. I am doing alot better and am bout 90% better than I was, almost as good as I was back in 2004, still have a lot of issues with my walking so I do use my Power Chair. I do enjoy goung to STARBUCKS daily. YUMMY. Going to Georgia in just a few weeks to see another NF family. I can't wait. Thanks for reading bout me.

Oh one other thing, I am a Momma to a Kitten named Li'l Bitty (named after the Alan Jackson song Li'L Bitty.) He is my Fur Kid. Also a Momma to a Red Chow named Ted E. Bear (Elvis Song) he is a big baby and a sweet Boy.

I am Angela aka Veggie on the other site :) I am 32 and I am the only one in my family with NF. I am single and love it! Have a lot of health prblems but go on with life. I am a alcohol and drug counselor at a adolecent residential treatment center. I love my job tho somedays I just want to screammmmmm.

I just foud you guys today through the other NF site. IMy name is Joe Wright fron Ohio. O am 56 years old with NF1. I have a 11 year old son who also has NF1. We have no disfigures but he did have brain tumors. He went through 2 years of chemo to shrink his tumors and that God it worked for him the first time. I have small tumors under my skin through out my body. I had 3 large tumors removed from my chest a few years back.

Hi my name is Carla - I also inherited NF, from my mum - She was only diagnosed at the age of 58!! I am 33 no problems so far (touch wood) apart from LOTS of cals and bumps (more as I get older) No children - due to the fact I am too scared I will pass NF on (Also in case the child has a worse case) So we are currently on the waiting list for an egg donnor.
I am also on the BB Board.

hi my name is virlena and i have NF1 (i am a mutant, no one else in my family has it)i lost my entire left leg from my pelvic bone down in august 2007. known as a hemipelvectomy. i have struggled with 3 neurofibrosarcomas in the same leg (thigh area) 95, 2002 and 2007...due to the neurofibrosarcoma, the last time 2002 it was decided that amputation would be the best treatment. i struggled with that option, but the other option was cancer spreading to my lungs. so i chose the latter.

Hey everybody My name is Luis and i have NF1 the doctors are not sure were it came from... but i dont really let it effective me in any way. although i have had 12 surgeries and have been admitted to the hospital over 25 times i still managed to finish college with GOD grace and the support of my MOM.

Hi, im Kylie I too have NF my father, brother and my youngest has it too.
I am starting to get bumps now since my 2nd preg, my lil monkey aged 1 has heaps of CALS.

I am 29 years old. I have NF 1. I was diagnosed with it when i was 3 years old. I have a slight learning disability because of the NF, other than that I don't have any of the physical things that are usually accompained to the NF

My name is Bernie and I was born with NF1. My dad has NF but only has 2 tumors and they are small. NOBODY else in my famil has this birth defect. Not my brothes, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins (you get the drift....LOL) but Tadpo is right, nothing GOD cant fix.
