I try to use texting and email whenever possible with my x whenver I have to discuss something about the kids. This week I sent a message to two of my kids and forwarded it to him, to be sure I knew where they were. He responded with a funny comment, as he might have done before- two years ago. It irritated me to no end!!! He still hasn't provided me the answers to a half dozen issues we need to resolve- even something as basic as I need to know what day he wants to come get the last of his stuff, or what time he is picking up the kids because of a schedule change. One of the things he said to me when he was about to move out with (much, much younger) gf was that he would really miss talking to me and our little jokes! Perhaps even then he realized that conversation with someone of a different generation would be a challenge sometimes? Now he behaved, with that text, as though we were still together! I won't have it! I still think, that if there had been a way for him to have had his cake and eat it, too- he would have done it. I sometimes wonder if I had never discoverd his affair if he would have tried to keep it that way and stay married? Wit with the wife and illicit sex with the gf? I will NOT exchange amusing observations, or forward jokes to him, even when I KNOW it is something that would amuse him. I do not think he has any idea how much that humorous text got to to me. I'll bet he was surprised I didn't send a witty reply back. I HAVE to keep our texts and emails business like. There is no room for banter...SO annoyed!!!
