This community is dedicated to starting over after a divorce. With the marriage over, how do individuals begin a new chapter in their lives and what hurdles do they face? Divorce is often one of the most traumatic periods in a person's life. Studies show it is the second-most stressful event in life, after the death of a spouse.
All of it.
One of my favorite tricks during work was to just go outside for a walk to clear my head. I've cried in the shower and to and from work.
It's all part of the process.
I cried mowing fields, dragging fields, couldn't listen to country music any more. I would wake up crying.
For the first time since May 2006 I can once again listen to country music.
Yes, it's part of the process.
I cried a million times in a million different settings and I literally watched the weight fall off me through it all as I was too tense and stressed to eat til about 3 or 4 in the afternoon most days.
Best thing I can say is, it will pass. someday.
when I get upset over whats going on the nausea comes back and I throw up. I started taking motion sickness pills to help
I can be in a store and I will tear up---or in the line at the bank or any time i have to do something with the devorce papers
friends tell me it will get better with time!
I would usually try to make a joke of it all...
'You should see me when I am REALLY PMSING!!!! What a bag of shit I am THEN!'
Hang in there, L~
