I am a divorced father of 2.

I am rather shy when meeting new people but once I get to know them a bit (or just find something in common) I open up.

I signed up for some dating sites and I know you dont get a lot of dates/etc the sending out letters ratio to the number of dates is really low. I have had 2 dates, both went ok, one I thought went really well.

My question is how do I meet new people/girls?

Or what/how can I improve things in my online dating profile (and/or messages I send) to at least get them to respond so they may get a chance to know me?

Plus any other advice would be great!

I think posting the right picture helps. Have someone take one of you looking approachable and smiling. The bathroom mirror pictures and the selfiest that are topless are just creepy. In your profile, be light hearted. It's not a time to write all the things you hate about women. Lol You could say you are a little shy but very worth getting to know because you are a lot of fun.

I can see you posted this a while back. But it popped up on my account because I am wondering how to date again too. Did you have any luck or try anything other then the online dating thing? I am not sure that is the way for me....?

I joined one right after the split cause my head was spinning. I talked to a few gals, one seemed really nice but after thinking a bit I told her I have to work on me first and im just not ready. I wouldve dragged her into my personal hell as Im only in month 4 breakup of a 24 year marriage. Sounds like you are ready though, good for you, cant wait to get there myself one day!

Sorry I should have noted I canceled that membership after the 3 months I signed up for, im just gonna go with the flow for a while..I think most of the women I see on there are looking for a long term relationship, soul mate, etc. and that doesnt seem remotely possible for me right now..good luck man!
