Life After Divorce Support Group
This community is dedicated to starting over after a divorce. With the marriage over, how do individuals begin a new chapter in their lives and what hurdles do they face? Divorce is often one of the most traumatic periods in a person's life. Studies show it is the second-most stressful event in life, after the death of a spouse.
I am traditional in my thinking. I believe that it's good for the man to make the first move. I like to be treated like a lady, from the jump. On the other side, I know what I want. And, so many men seem to be too afraid of rejection. In addition, the older I get the faster life passes. Finally, I'm not looking to "hook up" with anyone. So, I think it depends upon your expectations and intentions.
I never want to miss an opportunity. So, if I want to spend time with someone, I ask.
Why not?
Why go through life (male or female) waiting for someone else to make an impact on your life when you can do the deciding for yourself?
Being turned down happens, so what?
Most guys get over it pretty quick and move on to the next potential date, women should do the same.
Don't take it personal, keep your spirits up, be cheerful and go for it!
PS - I will be in the Quickie Mart, aisle 3, today at 5pm and waiting for you to ask.....LOL
Life is short; go after it!
Same rules apply to women when asking someone out. Never seem desperate!
And if your not comfortable with asking, ask and open ended question like, "So when are you going to ask me out?"
