Life After Divorce Support Group
This community is dedicated to starting over after a divorce. With the marriage over, how do individuals begin a new chapter in their lives and what hurdles do they face? Divorce is often one of the most traumatic periods in a person's life. Studies show it is the second-most stressful event in life, after the death of a spouse.
I took the liberty & read your two most recent journals. Since you said you weren't totally over your wife (which IMHO, is completely normal), I would urge you to take your time before getting back out there & looking for a new relationship. It's really important to allow yourself whatever time it takes to grieve your losses and heal.
And, since breakups are never one sided it might be helpful in your healing to look w/in & take stock of what happened. If we don't take the time to heal & look at our part of the demise of the relationship, we will just carry all that w/us into the next relationship.
Have you considered seeing a therapist? Therapy can be very helpful.
Best to you!!
