There can be alot of stress involved with the type of work that you do. It's alot of responsibility, I am sure and you need to take time for yourself to recharge your batteries. Try not to watch movies that are apt to make you cry, especially after a hard day at work.

Sometimes we take so much care for the people around us, that we completely forget about ourselves. We are too consumed with the needs of others that we forget we have our own needs. It's hard at times to remember that some of the things we do might be a reflection of what happened in our earlier sexual abuse history. The not taking care of ourselves might actually be the symptom of it. Like perhaps when it happened no one believed you, and you thought you were a unlikeable person, and that no one would like you unless you took care of everyone else. I don't know that's how my experience has affected me. I also don't give myself the chance to really like me, because to some extent I still believe I am unlikeable because of what happened to me.

hi ironicgirl your totaly right im always takeing care of everyone and i forget about myself. but on the other hand i look at work as like an escape as i was working wen i was been abused. i thought i was safe there i could be myself and he cant hurt me or get to me there. but i think ive burryed myself in work for that long ive lost myself
