Hey everyone!
Let's Start Some Literature of Our Own! Since we now have so many members in the group, why don't we try to get our experiences together collectively in a book? I was an English Major and am excellent at editing. I would LOVE for people to either post or email me their lying stories so that we can edit, collect them, and try to publish them so we can reach even more people who haven't had found this great website yet. Now I realize that names and confidentiality are very important, and that is why I chose to call the group Liars Anonymous, so when you turn your story in, you can either list your name as 1st name and state (Laura, VA); 1st name, 1st letter of your last name, and state (Laura O., VA); Anonymous, and state (Anonymous, VA); or just Anonymous. That way you don't feel like you have to compromise your identity and you can still be heard. Here's an example (but not limited to) of what you can include:
-What growing up was like for you in your home
-When you first realized you were a liar
-How you may have been punished for lying
-Reasons you think you may have started lying
-How your lies growing up created problems for you (i.e. family, friends, school, jobs, relationships)
-What things you have tried to help yourself (from self-medicating, therapy, support groups, etc...)
-And anything else that is significant around your lying
If anyone has any questions, please send me a message! Thanks :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Over the years I developed a FICTIONAL FAMILY, in my head, to tell every one about. This family were PERFECT! Father was a professional person and she was the perfect model mother, so if anyone asked me about my famly, I would tell them about this fictional family, so everyone who didn't know me too well would believe this story and so I continued it. This was my security blanket.
Even my 2 ex wives were victims of this story and it was at times very hard to continue because I almost lost the plot on a few occasions. I would set the alrm on my cell phone and pretend that i was talking to my "Father", I also sent emails from myself pretending to be my father to myself (the real me). The whole fantasy collasped after about 7 years of marriage and 1 very handsome son later.
The divorce from the mother of my Son has caused me to revaluate my life and the damage that my lying has caused not only me but others inclding my son. Fot the chances are, that if I had been honest from the start (all those years ago) I may well have been still married.
What is the right time to tell your loved one's that you have lied about almost every aspect of your life??? Right now, but do it with the support of a recovery group.
I feel like the guy who had a lettuce stucking out of his butt, and he telling the Doctor that it was the just the tip of the ICEBURG!! There is so much more of this stry to tell, some of it very painful and sometimes disturbing. But IT HAS TO BE TOLD!!
