A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
For some time already I've been observing the "Daily check-in" topic. I've got a feeling it doesn't work the way it should. Just compare the number of group members and the number of entries there. I believe there is a number of reasons for this. Actually it might be very difficult to tell, even as anonymously as we are here, that we failed. The other problem is that the topic is already a bit messy.
I was wondering if now, once our group has grown and there are people who struggle for at least few years with their lies, maybe we could create something that will be closer to the basic idea of a sponsorship.
First of all the sponsorship should be direct. I mean a sponsor and a sponsored person should discuss over PM or even (I would recommend that) over e-mails. Then you can really check in daily, without making here any mess and without sharing with everyone things you're not ready to share.
My idea is to create a topic were everyone can ask for the sponsorship. Agreeing on beeing a sponsor should then happen over PM. On the other hand a person offering sponsorhip should put that in a profile - that would also create a chance to check if someone we believe might be a good sponsor for me is willing to accept a proposition of becoming one without a public discussion.

What would be wrong asking for a sponsor and then whoever accepts can email you with a phone number? It is so much better to talk live then over email. Just an idea.

I would love to have someone to talk to when I get lied to, what is the proper way to handle this? What I read, confronting is the best way.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
