Hello Everyone!
Well, it's official... the hotel has been booked for our very 1st Liars Anonymous Conference for May 3rd - May 5th, 2012 in Boulder, CO. Anyone is welcome to call the hotel and go ahead and book your room now for next year's event by calling 1-800-233-8469. Please see the link in the new News article above for more information about the hotel, it's amenities and the location. A few things to note:
-You must book your lodging BY APRIL 3RD in order to received the $40 discount on rooms being offered to our group. Otherwise you will pay $149/night instead of $109/night.
-You must book your lodging through the link provided in the news article above. I will also be sending that same information out in an email to everyone as well.
-I would strongly recommend not getting a rental car unless you plan on traveling long distances away from Boulder as Boulder is very very pedestrian/bike/public transportation friendly. The hotel currently has 12 bikes that they rent out for free to guests, or if they are not available there are bikes you can rent down the street within short walking distance at the 29th st Mall. There is so much within walking and biking distance including shopping, hiking, and many opportunities for arts and entertainment. I think using the RTD bus, or the SmartShuttle are your best options. Please contact me directly if you have any more questions about this

-It is not necessary that you arrive Friday night. The conference will not officially start until Saturday morning. I wanted to give folks an opportunity to arrive early and socialize Friday evening to get to know one another better.
-It is VERY IMPORTANT that you email me through DS or my personal email l.e.orcutt@gmail.com after you have booked your hotel and flight to let me know your arrangements so that I may have a clear understanding of how many guests will be accommodated and when.

Unfortunately I had to cancel this event last year as it was planned to take place a couple weeks before I was due with my first daughter. It wasn't really good timing for me, but I planned the event before i got pregnant. There are no plans in the works for one this year yet. If you are interested in helping to spearhead one up, by all means feel free to contact me about that too. I have my plate full at the moment between my almost 9 month old and finishing up an internship to complete my master's. Come summer though, I should hopefully have more time on my hands. Another idea we could look into doing is possibly an online conference? I learned about these in one of my classes about distance education technology. If you're interested in maybe getting a committee together, let me know. There are some members that have been more active over the years than others that might be better to work with. Also, I think it would be good to get a regular online group meeting up and running consistently first to show commitment on part of the members (both ways) so that we know it will be worth the effort. What do you think?
