Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
I too am a pathological liar. Or I was...
I to had some horrible stuff happen to me at an early age and I just kept telling myself that it never happened. And I kept telling myself that until I started to believe it I was always a l white lie type of person where I would lie to make people feel better or stay out of trouble. But after it became much worse.
But after a good year or more of therapy it has become so much easier living with truth. No longer having to keep stories straight was a tremendous weight of the chest. And a lot easier trying to remember details of things. So, it's worth it to put in the work to make that change.
I am also a sex addict and having a support group is one thing that really does help. Unfortunately there really isn't a support group out there for liars. Although there definitely should be.
This can be a good resource, but it takes work checking in and posting. But it does help.
It's also a lot easier once you find someone that you can talk to that helps get stuff out that needs to get out - venting. And also to help keep you accountable.
If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. And good luck on your journey to peace and a healthy life of no more lying.

My name is Mic and I am also a pathological liar and a sex addict. I just recently made the choice to seek help and change my life. I was married for a long time and because of my lying and sex addiction that marriage is now over and not salvageable. I to started lying at a very young age and never stopped. I have a very low self esteem and have really never thought i was good enough for anyone or anything, at least in my personal life. Work wise I have been pretty successful. I am really glad to have found a site like this to talk to others that have the same issues. I really wish there was a local support group that met regularly but i have not found one yet. I see a therapist weekly and that seems to help. I do believe that over time i can change and I am sure you can also. Good luck with your journey ahead.
