I know we don't have meetings yet, and believe me, this frustrates me to no end as well. I've been trying to come up with other options to see how we can get the ball rolling on this, and one of those has been to try and see where everyone is geographically to see if there was a high concentration of people in one location to try and get a starter meeting going. This hasn't worked as well as I planned because not as many people have responded as I hoped and for the 30 or so people that have responded, we are all over the place! Which is good and bad of course.

So what I am starting to scheme up now is to try and have a Liars Anonymous Conference next year sometime. I would say this year, but I feel like it would be more well attended if people had at least more than a years' notice to be able to plan around work and family vacations. This conference would be held here where I live in the Boulder/Denver, Colorado area and would just be for a weekend. I am choosing this location because it is more central than having it on the West or East Coast somewhere. I want this opportunity to be as accessible and affordable to everyone as possible. I would like to shoot for sometime either next Spring or Summer. If people would like to see this event try to happen this Fall, we can try for that too, as long as enough people think they could make it.

I would probably have it at a relatively cheap hotel, and see if they would offer discount rates to attendees who stay there for the weekend, and even offer people to make arrangements to go in on the room together to try and save money. If there was a registration fee it would be like $20 bucks for the weekend to help me cover the cost of reserving the conference facilities and other supplies like renting tables, snacks, providing writing materials, etc....

If you have never been to the Boulder/Denver area, it is a great area for Family vacations as well as the shopper, the music lover, the arts lover, the sports fan, the active person and really just about anyone. The Rocky Mountains are beautiful and the Spring, Summer, and Fall are very temperate and warm usually with a gentle breeze and almost 0 humidity. It hardly ever rains here. If we have the conference, I will start a website with links on other things to do in the area so if you decide to make the weekend a family vacation you won't have to do your own research.

-Registration: Conference Attendees starting to arrive with an optional Social Dinner planned somewhere inexpensive and close to the chosen Hotel/Conference location.

*Our very first official in-person Liars Anonymous meeting.
*Volunteer Speakers who will be telling their stories of how they became a Compulsive Liar
*Workshops on Honesty, Relationships, Detachment, Co-Dependency, The Twelve Steps, How to Start Meetings Where You Live, and much more.
*More meetings throughout the day.
*Speakers and meetings for family members of Compulsive Liars in case spouses or anyone else wants to travel with you and also make it a family vacation.
*Social Dinner

Sunday:
*Registration
*Breakfast
*More meetings
*More workshops
*Lunch
