Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
Welcome to the group - You have made the biggest step towards fighting this addiction-admitted that you have the problem and want to fix it. Most of us as you will read in the posts have been dealing with this for as much time as we can remember. It's a beast that is extremely difficult to fight and win against but it is possible. I too have been a liar for as long as I can remember, initially doing it to make myself look better to others and then it just spiraled out of control into pretty much ever aspect of my life. But things finally came to a head when I was threatened with divorce. I had to find a way out - it is not an easy or fast process. I myself have turned to prayer and really looking in the mirror and asking myself is this really who I am? If I lie who gets hurt and what happens. It's also not going to stop over night, I myself have slipped the difference is you have to own up to it - admit immediately that you have done it. Show others that you are making the effort.
There's no real "method" here jump on post your feelings, thoughts, fears etc..we're all here to help each other heal without judgement. Believe in yourself and stay strong!
