Thanks again for sharing. Very brave.
i went through the same thing today as well. my husband did not handle it with as much grace as your wife. We are on the verge of divorce and I'm not certain that he is coming home tonight. he did mention staying with his mom so i assume that is his plan. i don't want to call him to be sure as I think that is that case. i've been questioning why i hurt the ones most close to me and personally think it may be a symptom of a greater issue i've yet to discover. an old friend of mine suggested that it's a coping mechanism i've developed to deal with some childhood trauma yet i feel that i cannot and do not continue to blame my current actions for it yet i wonder if i am. i lie very very easily. almost as a instinct because i fear judgement from my spouse. i do not want to end our marriage yet i feel as though it is out of my control now. i wish i could offer more comfort but my glass is empty. i don't know what to do myself except emphasize with you as i feel your pain today as well. perhaps this is what we need to become our better selves? i too have a child with my spouse and the last thing i was is her to feel the pain i've felt as a child or divorce. good luck to you and me. i hope you work out your problems and i hope i work out my own.
