Liars Anonymous Community Group
A support group to provide those with a compulsive addiction to lie a place to share hope, strength and courage with others like them; solve our common problem and help others with a compulsion to lie. We aren't alone!
I has been probably weeks since I posted, and I was reminded that I was not following through last night. That is also a kind of lie. I have felt like things were going well lately and it was easy to let my posting slip. I look at others posts and I haven't been responding to any of those as well. I don't post looking for comments, though they are nice when they happen.
Anyway, things have been strained at home. I had a day earlier this week where I didn't answer my phone on two different occasions on the same day. For the first I missed the repeated calls because I was listening to my radio loudly in my car and the ringer volume was low because I keep it low in the office and forgot to turn it up. So that made it look like I was off doing something I shouldn't have been. Then later that night I was kicking around the house, doing stuff and cooking and set off the smoke detector on the second floor, ran up to deal with that and left my phone up there by mistake. Of course I missed more check in calls and once again looked like I was doing something shady.
Rebuilding trust is hard.
