I have missed my cat Tangy so bad. I had to give her up when we moved back to TN. So I went to the pound today.
That was my first mistake.
Second was looking at all those pitiful faces!
They had just gotten two little kittens in today that they had found in a dumpster. How cruel can someone be?!
My son wanted one of the kittens. I wanted to adopt an older cat because they don't get adopted out as easily or quickly as kittens do. But I gave in to my son. Turns out they had not been able to get the kittens to eat and the officer there asked me if I would be willing to foster the other kitten , and if I would, he would wave the adoption fee. So I said yes because I really hated to leave the other little kitten there by itself. They are about 3 or 4 weeks old.
So now I have two little cry babies to take care of! Cry Cry Cry:) They are not sleeping in my room tonight! The kids are fighting over who gets them for the night. I figure about midnight they are going to be waking me up: "Mom, I can't sleep because the kittens are crying"
At first I tried milk in a bottle...no go there. Then I tried canned cat food. No luck until I took a spoon and forced it into their mouths then they went wild for it. so , they are eating, now I have to figure out how to get them to drink. They will lick it off my fingers but will not drink it out of the bowl. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
I'll try to post pics tomorrow. they are tabby's with four stocking white feet. cute little twins:)

I called my husband....told him I loved him....He of course wanted to know what I wanted. I told him nothing since I already got it :-) Poor guy...I'm really not fair to him...guess it's a good think he loves me so much ;-)!!

But man, weirdest dream about kittens last night, running round a backyard finding them before the horses squashed them...... n they were red kittens.... Ummmm....
Think I better stay out of the basement for a while.... he he...

But the Mertz 's are nice names too.
