LESBIANS OVER 50 Community Group
I've created this group to promote a safe space and an opportunity for older lesbians to dialogue about and share their special issues, needs, concerns, or whatever they wish to share with the other members. Women only (please!) from all ages are welcome.
I am so frustrated.we have been trying to develop friendships among the lesbian community in this area for years...my partner and I just don't seem to be able to connect. We had a child tried to join parents groups of other lesbians with children....etc., etc. and btw, yes, we are over 50...which presents a challenge with the "younger" mothers. Our "old" friends don't have kids and have no desire to have our child around for get togethers....so we just stopped trying...and are living a life of an isolated family in the middle of a big city.

It is a real shame you feel isolated there because of children. Children add so much joy to life. Well, you're not alone here.
