Well, I know when I was 18 I dated a woman who was 39......and at age 20 I dated a woman who was 42. I also liked older women.....however.....now that I am in my mid 40's, the thought of dating someone that young doesn't do it for me....I would feel awkward. But then again, I also would feel really weird dating someone in their 60's so my age preference to older women has really come down a number of years...lol.,...I like to stay roughly 5-7 years within my age either way, but of course, that isn't etched in stone.
Personally, if it works for you and others who do this, more power to y'all!! My sister is actually married to a man who is going to just turn 30 next month and she is 44. It works for them, so cool.
All my best to you! :)
So, in my opinion, age differences are just numbers ( as long as it's legal! ) However the older person in my past relationship did feel threatened by the possible whims of my youth. Although our 3yr. relationship ended, it had more to do with her personality... not her age.
Welcome to the group!
Well I've always stayed in my age group. I've never dated anyone older but have dated a couple of women younger than me. I guess age doesn't matter as long as both parties have similar interests and can actually have a decent conversation then it's all good to go..
The only thing I'd add here is that our bodies have a biological pattern that can't be denied. Change of life, menopause (pre/post), child-bearing years, basic health issues, etc. all have a huge influence on our psyche and will effect our partnerships. It's very important to be aware and sensitive to these totally undeniable and uncontrollable issues.
