It's been six years since my ex-partener cheated on me and I kicked her out. We continue to be friends and now she is engaged to a man. She told him about us a while ago and told him not to make her choose between him or me because it will be me. When their relationship was new I use to be invited over and now I end up meeting her some where to hook up and run arrands. I brought it up awhile ago that I don't think he cares for me because I'm not invited to come over. She got real defensive. On my birthday I went over to spend time with her and the kids and he called to wish me happy birthday and that I was part of the family. I feel he is full of crap and/or she put him up to it. Today was the first time I saw her in over a month when I was getting ready to leave I gave her a hug like always and she could barely do that. It turned out to be a pat on the back.

You are a great person, and she knows this. But, time has moved forward for her. Her life is different and things have changed. The longer you avoid seeing things as they are, the longer you will continue to avoid what is right before you.
All things ebb and flow ~ change ~ and we are responsible for seeing the changes and being real with ourselves and others. Some changes are very painful, others are very rewarding; here is a painful awareness that will lead you to a new, beautiful future in your own life.
The signals are there ~ and it appears to me, that it's time for you to wish her all the best ~ be sweet, kind and realistic with yourself so you too can move on and find your flow.
