I recently lost my partner of over 12 years from complications due to bariactric surgery. I feel lost, but at the same time I am comforted by the fact she is no longer suffering. She had surgery may 2014 and just passed away on the 3rd. I do not have many friends in this area, I live in central florida, as we kept mostly to ourselves. All of my close friends live in northern virginia, where I lived before moving to florida. I want to meet some friends to get out and do things but have no clue where to even go to do that. I golf, play in a local concert band and would love to meet some women that like golf and tennis.

I live about an hour and a half from tampa, orlando and gainesville so I'm at a loss as to where to even start to meet anyone. All the folks I golf with are older, I'm 51 and they are mostly in their 70's.

Are there any groups in this area that I could get involved with? Any support groups out there?
