Just thought I get that out there. It's reasonable. It's a totally reasonable set of criteria. I myself expected the same thing...and I got it, too. I would add good sense of humour to that list.

If you were also adding physical criteria like hair and eye colour, weight and height, I'd say you were asking too much.

You have a right to expect something good. You have to put down what you are looking for, so that when women come around that don't fit the list, you can look at them as friends only, and not waste time on them.

I do have a age range too.. preffer 27-34 but thats not stuck in mud

I have also just recently made a "standards" checklist myself....I used to have it fairly set in stone when I was younger and I found that after I deviated from it, that's when the troubles began.

Yours is nothing compared to mine lol....I have a feeling I will NEVER find another person to share my life with at the things I have set.

Of course, some are NOT set in stone and I can absolutely compromise, but I will NOT compromise if it's at the risk of going against my own morals and happiness. Lesson learned there.

A good rule of thumb when setting standards for others to meet is to make sure we ourselves can meet them first. So, I really don't think there is such a thing as setting them too high if one is able to easily meet the proposed standards themselves. Best of luck in your search!

Your definitely NOT asking too much. It is really nice when you know what you want and don't accept anything less. That was my mindset 15 months ago when I met my current girlfriend....who is the exact opposite of EVERY SINGLE ONE of my expectations lol. But we have a very intense love unlike any I have ever known, I tried really hard not to be attracted to her but it was inevitable... So its important to have standards, just dont let something great pass you by because they dont fit into your box, you never know whats out there or what will work for you.

People may not always meet our needs but we definitely need to know what we want. If the time comes and that gal doesnt meet what we want we are always able to adjust the standards, after all it is OUR standards. Enjoy life, enjoy women and always keep your eyes open as much as ur heart.

I dont think your standards are out of the way at all. Ive always had standards....but with my ex, I did bend them. Speaking from experience....I will NEVER do that again! You have your standards & stick to them because like the saying goes, "you give them a inch & they take a mile". Dont settle for anything less.

Your standards are fabulous and like the other obviously well rounded, intelligent women here, are bang on. Its true its when you dismiss the red flags is when you get in trouble.

The only thing I'd add is be employed or working towards working. Thats a stickler for me.

And as for sending her UPS, you should have seen the gorgeous driver herself I had in the office yesterday. Woooeeee I do love women.

What's wrong with having standards?
As a previous user stated, just as long as they are realist and we can meet them ourselves.
I still have my board with "qualifications" that I want to be more strict about having and holding people too. But the question I keep in mind is that will someone with all these characteristics REALLY make me happy or is it more characteristics I want in myself and the person I'm with to just compliment me?

absolutely NOT too much to ask. I agree. That is the basic standards. If it were me I would have a lot more, I'm not picky, I believe in respect, common sense.
