Lesbian Relationship Challenges Support Group
This community is for those who are in a gay marriage, and the unique challenges that may be had in a same-sex relationship. Find support and talk to others in a same-sex marriage, and get advice from the experiences of other members.
However, if you're still willing to give this relationship a go, then I suggest having a serious talk about what's happening with your girlfriend. If she's open to it, she wouldn't take your concerns as attacks. Rather, she should treat your concerns as your desire to improve and keep the relationship. If she cares enough, she'll understand and try to avoid making you feel smothered.
Hope this helps :)
You will need to summon your strength to do the right, mature, kindest thing. Remember that ripping the band-aid off in one fast motion (kindly, sweetly honestly telling her its over) hurts much less than slowly ripping it off (playing wishy-washy games to lead her on). Regardless, the band-aid has to come off and the wound has to heal.
I hope you do the kind, right thing by gently honestly, directly letting her know you are moving on, and most importantly after you've ended it...keeping total no contact so she can begin to heal.
This will one of many tough decisions you'll have to make in life, but if you do it with honor and kindness it will be much easier for everyone. (hug) Good luck.
