After my ex cheated on me, she kicked her out because she was given a choice by her......... See ya sister............ No we didn't get back together but she found this guy who knows where. Every time she was asked at the begining of thier relationship it was a different story. I met him, he is kinda goofy but if she is happy so be it. We hung around, I was told he liked me. Then all of a sudden wham out of nowhere, can't come over, if I come over for the holidays (last 13 yrs with her and her kids) it would be just right before dinner where before whenever. I tried to have a conversation with him at Easter during dinner andhe couldn't look at me. Then one of her kids graduation I went to and we all usually go together. They didn't want me to pick them up, show up 15 minutes before it starts. I did and when I found them I said hi to him and he turned his back. Now they went on vacation with the kids (sooooooooooo) but I only found out through the grape vine..... What the heck is going on. I never treated her friends that way if I didn't like them. I was respectful. The dilima, should I say somthing or will that just push her away. I tried months ago and all of sudden the defense came on.............. I don't want to loose her friendship over somone that has known her for two years almost three and put a ring on her finger.
I'm on Vacation this week.. and all that goes with it..so take what I say with a grain of salt.
First off, I am truly sorry that you are feeling confused and helpless. It's not fun ~ but unfortunately it is a common place for those of us who can't see the writting on the wall :O/
Our wishes and wants cloud reality. Human nature is so complex and strong that we will actually come to believe our 'wish' is somehow justified by our need. When in Reality.. the truth is right there in front of us all along.
You're story has a familiar ring to it ~ which tells me that you are either repeating the same mistake over and over again; or that you are desperately hoping for a different answer than what reality is providing.
It's time to see things 'as they are'. Release your sweet self from the drama. It will be hard.. but you have an obligation to yourself to take care of YOU. Follow what is Best for You. Nothing else matters.
Her life choice is right before you.. accept it, grieve it, and then move on to what You need. You are never going to get everything you want.. because everything you want.. is not always good for you.
