So I've been super close with my best friend for about 5 years now and we do everything together. We're so close and open and comfortable with each other and she told me about a year ago that she had feelings for me but I didn't want to ruin our friendship so I told her no when she asked to try dating but lately I think I've started to develop feelings for her and not sure whether I should risk our friendship.
She said that if things didn't work out we could just go back to being friends and no hard feelings but I'm worried that if it doesn't work, and it goes to far, that we'll never be able to go back to how things were before.
Confused about whether to take the leap or play it safe (like I usually do). I'm a very analytical person and I'm weighing the pros and cons of dating her. She helps with my anxiety and I help her with hers. Just being around her makes me feel less depressed.
I'm also concerned because sexually I'm very timid but she's admitted to me that's she's into BDSM and I'm worried that if we were sexually active I wouldn't be able to get to her level.
Sounds like ya'll are good for eachother.

As an FYI, my very first true love is now my best friend. We weren't best friends beforehand, so I am not certain how your dynamic might play out, but it might be possible.
