I've never done hypnotherapy, though understand it works well. However, you should also know, you must also be relaxed enough and open enough for it.
What i'm wondering is, why are you not able to chase away those negative thoughts without this kind of therapy? Why not your standard type or even self reflection? I'm thinking the best way to learn the lessons from the past is to give it lots of thoughts, find where you made errors in judgments, or even ignored gut feelings etc...and take those lessons into the next relationship....
I suppose it won't matter which type you use (therapy), just so long as you end up with the same results. In the end, understanding what you could have done differently, what the break up means now...no matter how it is done....it essential to move on and not make the same errors again. If you are considering this as a method to skip over all the inbetween stuff, sister you are not doing yourself any favors. You have to feel th pain, to learn the lessons.....
Well I think I've gone through the pain too many times, most days I feel fine but i realize anything could just trigger my emotions. Its something in my sub concious.
There are things about myself that I realize but I seem to lack the motivation to do something about it for myself. I don't know why I lack these motivations and I believe this problem hinders my own self improvement. To look at the greater picture my own self improvement would probably lead to better relationships in future.
In general my own life has been good so maybe that's why I lack that push. I am in my own way comfortable but I feel something's missing for many years since my adolescent. I intend to try hypnotherapy as a means to unlock this hidden truth and hopefully push myself farther. :)
Have you considered that you have depressive or Dysthymic disorders? THis is a recurring depression that is organically based, though there can be natural triggers, it is experienced mostly in the chemicals in the brain? It is possible....just a thought.
As I mentioned before, my life has been generally alright but even in my youth there will be periodic moodiness even up to now. Is there any medication for Dysthymia?
