You might consider taking this opportunity to look inside to see why you backed out; - check yourself - are you ready for a relationship? If you are,..the only way to start one is to go meet them hon ((hug)). Were you not all that attracted to 'said woman' ? If not, then you're right,..it wasn't meant to be. If you were attracted to her,...then you took fate into your own hands :O/
Take it easy on yourself. I think you may have learned a big lesson here. (hug) When you're ready and able to meet someone, ..you will :O)
Life moves on and has a way of bringing new and interesting people into our lives when we least expect it. Maybe you could work on being ready the next time you have an opportunity to meet someone new.
Good Luck.
I would say the reason you might have backed out was a gut feeling. Fear, uncertaintly, are often born of those gut feelings. No matter what the outcome in the end, you should always listen to those gut feelings, they are there for a reason. Often our bodies, tell us what our head doesn't want to admit.
Otherwise you might just have to accept that old saying, "you snooze, you lose.". Find out what really stopped you from going. If it was something said, something acted, or something learned, take the lesson and work it to your benefit. Maybe the answer is to not pick the same type of person next time. Its all in your perception of yourself, what you want, and how you go about getting that.
Good luck..
