So my girlfriend and I have been dating for almost a year. And recently her aunt and uncle have decided not to go to Thanksgiving with the rest of her family because they "don't approve of her lifestyle".
1. I'm not even going. I'm going to my family's in my state.
2. They acted like they were ok with it and now have completely changed their minds.
It's really hurt my girlfriends feelings. I'm trying to be supportive but it's hurt my feelings too. I don't even know these people but they're making judgements about us. I'm not going anywhere and I think they know that but I just need some kind of advice.
How should we deal with them being like this?

Not everyone is going to love us,...gay or straight. Concentrate on the positive and those that love you. Embrace the Thanksgiving spirit and let those you love and love you know how grateful you are.
