I'm in agreement with you, it has much to do with how the gender are raised differently. Males are taught to confront isues head on, be a man, don't do any of that namby pamby stuff. Females are taught they will never have the upper hand, they need to be creative to get what they want. Its ok to tell white lies...(which turn into huge ones, right? cause if the little one works, then the bigger one will be great).
Males are taught confrontation skills, while females are taught different ways to "get what they want:" you even hear when mothers guide their daughters in how to deal with guys, .....
So it goes without saying, those same females are lesbians too...females are NOT taught how to be a team member (though this is slowly changing), males are. So they can cope with relationship stuff sometimes better.
Take heart though, don't settle for the first game player, move on till you find the one that isn't into games and manipulation. There out there, but won't be falling in your lap any time soon.
Playing games really shouldn't have such a bad reputation. I love playing games. For example, Poker. Just a simple, 5 card Draw.
I observe each person. The way they move. The way their eyes dart around. How they hold their cards. I listen to what they say..if they're joking around, serious or dead quiet. Since I can't see the hand they are going to play, I have to observe their 'ques'. Their actions. I pretty much make my move based on how I perceive their movements.
You've had a rough, rough time in the last 3 years, Sister. I very much admire your tenacity and I hope with more obversation, patience, clarity, insight and confidence,...you start to read drama and dishonesty before you even sit down at the table (hug) It's time for a game of Royal Hold 'em
