I have a close friend who has been in a relationship with a girl a little younger than her. Her gf and her decided that because she has the better job that the gf would move closer and find something near her. Now my wonderful friend whom I adore gave this woman a set of keys to her place along with the extra set of car keys to her vehicle. They have been dating for a little over a year now. The woman has been living in her home town for approximately 2 months and has yet to give her a set of keys to anything!!! She also lives in a secure apartment building in which my friend would have to annouce herself to get into. Now my opinion is this and I told her this......I personally would not give a woman a set of keys to anything unless I know for sure that we BOTH are on the same page about one another and secure enough with one another without worrying about each other. My friend is upset with the woman but has not asked her about it. I also told her that if her gf was sincere than she wouldn't have to ask her or she would be honest enough to say, you know what here are the keys to your place and until I am ready to commit by giving you access to my place and things I think it's best if you hold on to your extra set of keys. My friend feels like her gf is going to give her a set of keys and that there is no need for her to collect back her keys. What do you all think???? Am I overreacting because I am protective of her feelings!

This is your friends relationship and you're blessed to be an observer. Everything she is experiencing with her g/f is what she is supposed to learn on her own.
You can have all the opinions you want, but the only opinion that matters is her's :O)
Your job is Sweet! and Simple! Take really good care of Your Own life...and do what you can to be there as her comfortable, caring best friend. Be her safe place where she can totally be herself - where she is loved unconditionally and where she knows there is a non-judgmental shoulder to cry on when she falls and gets hurt in this hard, hard life :O)
