Well, I think if I were in your situation Id really talk to my bff. Remind her of what kind of person she knows I am & that Id never do anything to hinder her happiness. Id tell her that I totally understand the predicament shes in, in not knowing who to believe, & can see things from her point of view. And Id even offer to talk to both of them together in order to get to the bottom of things & clear up the misunderstanding because thats how much her friendship means to me. In situations like this its usually best to be "the understanding, I can put myself in your shoes one", as opposed to being the "trying to prove what really happened & get your point across one". Shes confused & doesnt know the truth of the matter, nor who to believe. So she really just needs someone to show her some Love & understanding instead of having two of the most important people in her life hissing at each other. The most important thing is to keep calm. Because if you start to do this & talk to her in an apologetic/understanding way her gf will probly come up with some crap like "see I told you she wanted you, now shes being all nicey nice & its just to get to you & get me out of your life". But you know the truth & thats what you have to stand on. Im not saying it will be easy, it most likely will not. But sometimes we have to take a lil dirt in the face to hold on to whats important to us. Its all in how you react to that dirt. I believe you can work thru this, & it may take time, but as long as you can stick it out & dont create too much of a dust cloud; you can salvage your friendship. Where theres a will theres a way. Stay strong....& stay a friend. Good Luck. Im here if you need to talk.
I swear women aren't all this trouble.
