Could this be the end?

i've been in a relationship for 8 years now and married for 2. Our relationship has turned more into a roommate type of relationship. We stopped being intimate and going on 8 months now. My wife takes vacations to see her fam every year but never has money or desire to take a vacation together as a couple. Just about everything in our household is separate as well. Does this mean the relationship is over? She tells me she loves me but never initiates intimacy. I'm tired of trying in everything & getting nothing in return. We spend more time arguing about frivolous things and half the time I can't stand her selfish ways. I feel lost and I'm thinking this may as well be the end of our marriage. Is it time to move on?

Unfortunately, I don't have any advise, but am in a very similar situation. My wife and I have been together for over 19 years and I feel like we are roommates for about the last six months. She says she wants to work at "being friends" again. She loves me, but she feels lost and needs to find her independence. She just spent a weekend visiting a friend, which is the first weekend we've spent apart in a very long time. She says we do everything together and she is feeling suffocated. Feeling lost, lonely, and confused.

Hello... I'm new to the site and came aboard looking for advice in a similar situation. I have been in a relationship for 15 years and married 3 years. My wife and I sleep in separate rooms and pretty much do everything separate. It hurts so so bad! We also haven't been intimate in months. Any advice?

Communication is the key. Let your partner know how you feel. Create some drama and show some passion don't just sit and take it. If she loses you she will regret it. Take up some hobbies and go out on your own with new friends and show you are a person in your own right. Then you will have more to talk about and make her see that she does not want to lose you.

It's never too late to change things. My wife and I have been together for nearly 11 years and we actually sleep in separate bedrooms because we both have a snoring problem and working different shifts this is actually probably saved our marriage because we gets good sleep..lol.. also have taken vacations without her because of her work schedule and she can't always get vacation when I do we except that that's okay and just make sure that we take time to do things for ourselves even if it's not an expensive vacation we go hiking with our dogs and take a weekend to go for a drive to some Park to go walking and taking pictures it doesn't have to be expensive just time together... I admit that even with our conflicting schedules sex has gone downhill quite a bit but we make an effort whenever we can and don't focus on just that

It sounds like there's more to this iceberg. You all need to open more with communication and start tackling the real issues that have estranged you. Monotony plays a big role in things, but there's a reason why things have gotten to that point.
