Does anyone care to be or have a new friend? I mean someone that we could help support each other and maybe trade emails? I really am stuggling and need and can offer support also. My issues are addiction to oxycodone (not large amount), I cant seem to get past the intial 3 days of w/d. I also have anxiety/depression. I was never addicted until age 42 and I just turned 44. But it really got out of control and I am really trying to get out of this life style.
I used to run a group for anxiety/depression for seven years. I new better than to let what has happened to me happen. Anyway, new friends, someone we can be accountable to would be great :0)

Im here in the group to have friends and support and to give the same in return,,,,,, I just saw this post so didnt want u to think i was overlooking it,,,,,,, thank you for sharing.... want u to know we can exchange e mails and such... the group is here also as a whole to be supportive and im sure u wont be the only person to find yourself in the situation u r in... i can after reading this post understand how things escalated like they did for you to the level u r on now,,,, please be kind and gentle w yourself..... u didnt menation other meds u may be on re anxiety,,, so the pain med may have had a dual effect helping w the pain and the anxiety in the beginning and after helping control the anxiety? guessing. maybe what you once saw as a relief and helping u not feel the anxiety and helping u be more sociable and feel less emotional pain also (numbing affect) at the time it may have all made dense and seemed to help u make it through day to day...... please be easy on yourself,,,,,, positive steps,,,,,,, respectfully, KD

I am sort of new to this group as well and looking to be anyone's friend or to have more friends. I don't have an addiction to any drugs but I once overdosed on Allegra D and Tylenol which obviously didn't work which I knew it wouldn't. I would like to exchange e-mails withg people as well and sharing advice or just being there for each other. A GREAT BIG HUG TO YOU since I don't know how to make the cute icons appear like in chat mode. Thank you for all your help. Don't give up!
