don't be afraid of it being your first relationship, she had her first relationship once too. and every relationship is different, so you can never really say 'when' things are appropriate. if you want to hold her hand, reach for her hand and see what happens, if you want to kiss her goodbye, you can be cute and hug her and ask if you can, or you could be bold and just do it. if you feel like you want to do those things, try to perceive if she also wants them.
i guess really you can talk to her about it, or try it and see how it goes

Maybe your gf is a little shy in this area and is wondering the same thing. i remember when my gf and I first started dating I was mesmerized by her but I was shy and she could tell. Our first kiss was in a parking lot at around 4am and she asked me if she could kiss me. I wanted to kiss her so bad!!!! I said yes and we just had a little fast kiss. The second kiss was a little more but the third kiss we were standing out behind my work talking and all I could think about was her lips and she was talking to me and I just kept staring at those lips, finally I grabbed her and laid one on her while she was in mid sentence. lol. It was funny and passionate all at the same time. Good luck to you hun, talk to your gf and let her know what you want.
