Laughter is the Best Medicine & So Are Friends Community Group
A place to laugh, share your thoughts, stories. We are all here to listen. Friends!

So I did notice that several of us have annoying neighbors. I was thinking for the sake of free therapy and a good laugh it may be fun to describe what they do and what we wouldn;t necessarily mind if happened one day... (Only hypothatical of course)
1. I now have 2 preteens and parents above me. I am sure they are typical kids their age, but they do enjoy racing up the outside stairs and promptly slamming the door once they are home. Also, the dear sweet cherubs do seem to enjoy racing, sliding and thumping across the floor just above my head.
I am not an evil person, but could definitely get a good chuckle if perhaps one day they went tearing down the stairs and went gliding facefirst into a snowbank. hehe
2. Also another family of Spanish who live across the way but often have different people stopping to either pick up or drop off others. Several times the grandma was in my only handicap spot when I got home just dropping off graceries. She did wise up and begin to move , but a younger man (I'm assuming dad or step dad to one of the kids) waited as a teen came out then returned to the apt while I waited. Eventually the SOB and kid left, he just looked like I was from Mars. (Maybe he couldn't read the sign?)
Maybe it would ne nice if someone bounced a toaster off their carhoods to give em a nice big dent?
Maybe I am evil? lol

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

They have two dogs, big dogs that bark if I walk or God forbid sneeze. The have a 6' fence to contain them, but their drive way provides visual access to the road. I live in a two block neighborhood and am SURROUNDED by Dogs!
When the two 'barkers start' they set off ALL the dogs. ATM, I have 3 tiny yappers across from me, two next to me, one across from that neighbor, 2 at the end of my short street one way, and two at the end of my street the other way.
So there are Many people who walk their dogs past these two "horrible barking dogs" from am til as late as 1am in the morning.
I've thought of buying those no bark things, putting big squishy piles of poop for them to step in, and mailing them a letter telling them exactly what I think of them and their dogs!
My son has No Patience, he Yells at the top of his lungs "Guiet" or if he's really mad "Shut The *uck Up.
Over it went.
Henri has been doing a great job at being good, only barking when someone is at the door or occasionally out in the back yard. Very good for him as he use to talk to the neighbors dog & coyotes on his 55 acre property.
Last night 2am, bark, bang, thump, thump. They are out again today & not home. If it happens again my Vacuum cleaner will be in full throttle to clean at 8am as well as listening to the blasted tunes on my stereo!!!
It's not forever. Henri & I do love the fenced in back yard.
Hang in there!
Go to a F*cking car rally!!!
I have neighbors two doors away that are pure white trash hillbillies. You can’t even see on their porch because there’s so much stuff on it and you can’t walk by their house on the sidewalk because it’s all blocked, they actually have a tent set up on the sidewalk so that you have to walk in the street to get by their house. He used to have his own garage but somehow lost it so now he works on cars right on the street and he takes up about eight parking spots on the block and he has a boat that is parked right in front of my driveway, luckily I don’t drive but no matter what we do It doesn’t help. One of my neighbors told me that they have a family member that works at the parking Authority and another family member is a cop so they basically do whatever they please. They make the whole block look ugly, and they are very very loud, sometimes their music is so loud that my whole house shakes. I guess it does help to vent even though there’s nothing to be done about this. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to move. The house I’m in is paid for, but if I sell it my sister gets half of the money, and I sure can’t afford a mortgage at my age so I’m stuck here!
I sent my owners an email, that I had a spare furnace filter from my old house they could use (same size). They emailed back & said we are responsible for the replacement filters. Okay, f*ck you for trying to be nice.
Most of my neighbors in the general area are hoarders but they keep it to their yards & cannot spill onto the street.
I had to find a place quick & like I said this was for Henri.
I hope that you meet some really good friend's at the Senior Center.
Brooke, I hope you meet some really nice people at the senior group and I’m glad there’s a park close by for Henry :-)
We do have some dogs here and 2 are across from me. They do bark when they hear me or my keys, but then stop. There are a few new ones around and maybe 1 real barker, but I am fortunate. I cannot imagine having them all around.. I definitely understand the piles of dog crap (especially if they don't scoop it ) Then they DEFINITELY deserve it at both entrances. If we ever reach warm temps again and the next door dogs don't shut up == do you have a hose to squirt through (or over) the fence. (That should shut em up a minute. heehee
Brooke I hope you do meet some nice new people . With your new funky neighbor I'd make sure you lock up before you go anywhere. (and be sure to do that early vacuuming jam party thing. Big evil grin here. lol)
Jean, I don't know what to tell you with Ma and Pa Kettle. I have known Hoarders but they kept within their yards. Is bad enough that they are now all over the street and blocking sidewalk as well as hogging your parking, I know you said the assholes are taking advantage of connections, but has anyone ever mentioned the fact it is unsafe to force people out into the street to the township. And as far as you not driving, you should still have access in case you have company or would have a medical emergency YOU should have access to your home. (Don't know if that would help?)
I can't say much though. Mary mentioned reporting the illegal parkers. I have never called the police yet I have gotten bold enough to call the office twice. (It turned out 1 time it was actually one of the complex maintenance guys!) It
What do you think???? In my perfect world we could gather ALL these idiots and surround them with their crap, noisy dogs, hot headed assholes then blare some Lawrence welk and Havah Nagela? Oh and get some car crap clinking! And make sure they are all together in a big chain linked fenced in area. Might be fun eh?
And she allows her yard to be overgrown and then it creeps under the fence into my yard. Like her English Ivy which the pest control guy told us to get rid of as rats love to hide under it. So we dug it all out and put crushed granite stuff there. I am so creeped out by her "pets" when I try to do yard work. Or I check the back yard ring camera and see them on the top rail of the fence.
