I have taken the lactaid pill it did not work for me so I drink soy milk and use it in place of milk.

Of the Lactaid products, I've only tried their milk. Once. Ugh :( It mostly had no taste at all, yet it still managed to leave a slight aftertaste in my mouth which wasn't pleasant. I tried drinking the milk alone, with my meals, and also tried it with cereal, but no matter how I tried it, it just wasn't pleasant. My husband, who is a soy-milk drinker so is used to regular milk substitutes, tried it and he also said it lacked any flavor. So I won't be buying the milk again.

And again, I haven't tried their other products.

I actually tried Lactaid first and it seemed to ease the pain a little, but not completely. So I only use it in emergency cases...like when I have a craving for cheese curds and at Restaurants! I eat Tofutti's Cuties sandwich bars if I have a craving for Ice Cream. They are lactose free. Try the Wild Berry!!! Yummmm I just stay away from Dairy anymore. I have a more severe case then some who can eat cheese and whole milk.

My son tried Lactaid twice, with varied results. The first time he had one lactaid pill and two slices of pizza and was fine. The second time he had an upset stomach earlier in the day, so he had two lactaid pills before just one slice of pizza and he felt awful afterwards. We are still trying to figure this out!

I use the generic lactose pills from walmart and it usually works. It takes a while to figure out how many you need for each milk product. But when I buy the lactaid brand pills it never works.. I don't know why. For milk I drink "Deans EZ". I never was a huge milk drinker so I don't notice the difference.

Both lactaid milk and the pills work great for me. I find very little difference in taste between lactaid milk, and regular milk. There is a slight after-taste, but over all I like it.

The pills normally work fine. Occasionally not, but more times than not they work. I find that I only need more than one if I have ice cream, or large servings of cheese.

they seem to work sometimes for me. I finally got a pill box so I remember to just take one every day, b/c I'm bound to come across some dairy. However, if I overdo it on dairy on any day no matter how many pills I take I'll still feel pain in my tummy

lactaid pill? i take one before i eat something with lactose and it works great.

This book really helped me to see things in a different light. Of course a book can't heal but it did motivate me to accept the reality of it all and move on. I would recommend it to anyone who is into self help books.

The lactaid pills didnt work for my son, but the lactaid milk does good. If you shake it well, it helps that bad taste, and adds more flavor! My son didnt like the taste of it at first but by the time the first box was gone, he was great with it. We also switch off and on with soy milk, and Lucerne dairy (safeway here carries that brand) has lactose free milk. It tastes a bit better than the lactaid, and is a bit cheaper. As far as Ice Cream.. Bryers has a lactose free vanilla bean and its GOOD! I hope they come up with some other flavors as well!

I havent finished readingit yet but like it alot so far. It gives sound advice and its interesting to read stories about what other people have been through too.

A bit of a tear jerker but in a healthy way. Sensible advice too. I give it 2 thumbs up.

i use lactase enzymes all the time and they work great. i still have tummy problems but i think it might be celiac disease. i've also tried the lactaid milk in coffee and it tasted fine. i wouldn't consider drinking it by itself, but in coffee and tea it doesn't bother me.

I liked it. It was easy to read and made lots of sense.

lactase enzymes DON'T work if you take them AFTER you've eaten dairy.
