I am only 16 1/2 and have been shoplifting for about a year. I have become completely and utterly addicted to it. The idea of not being able to do it makes me feel depressed. I steal whatever I can whenever I can. I recently attempted to take clothes, and got caught by security. I am being fined and probably going to court. And yet, I can't even make myself feel bad about it. I want to feel bad, guilty. I want to get what I deserve, but when I think back to that day, all I think about is how much I wish I hadn't been caught, not that I wish I hadn't tries to steal. I even feel upset that I don't have the items I tried to take. Help.
hi I'm new to this posting but her goes .. not judging but you need to get help from a therphties and you may even need to see your health Dr. too. he may have you see a Psychiatrist. I'm 58 years old and after being arrested at home LP Officer sent police to my home they had my licence plate and I was charge for shoplifting it was the hardest thing I though at that moment no it just got worse I really didn't even know I was being arrested just he said I was going to have to go with him to station... I guess at that point I shut down and he told my husband everything after that ..then he took all my stuff drivers licence and cell phone and keys he had me face police SUV and he put cuffs on not so good it hurt and then try and get into SUV not to good just before your pat down and once in read my rights still not able to rap my head around it and you can't even ask anything say anything because your rights are shut down they can and will use it against you. oh and once at police station JAIL they search you again
take off hand cuffs and its no fun its humiliating and not the best feeling also if you do need rest room yap they go with you and watch you go your never alone. then they take information name address age and they really eye opener where do you work wow yes you now may not have a job or be able to get a good job your life is just gotten a whole lot harder. once that's done your hand cuff again taken to booking room your FINGERPRINTED and mug shot taken and yes the officer will talk to you and what you did is wrong and how you hurt everyone to owner to employees and other people not just yourself. your also given paper ban from store for life and then if your lucky you get court date to see if you get a lawyer and when to show up there with everyone eles having court date. if not like to be out on your own you go to jail and wait to see judge for bail out. yes get a lawyer right away you can't do it on your own even if it's your 1st time arrested they know what can help you stay out of jail. I'm trying to help you so you don't screw up your life please get help before it's to late and your going to lose friends because they will never trust you after that just remember I'll never forget the words the officer say crime of Moral Inturpitude I was charge with 4th degree fenloy because of dollar amount but it was 4th degree serious mistermeanor my lawyer said he was able to get it to 5th degree simple mistermeanor... yes 1st time charge and dam scary they gave me unsupervice probation 1 year and fines fees and 30 days jail but it for jail time was suspended if I stay out of all any trouble with law and court keep my job and the court is to be inform by me if I screw up in 7 days and all that goes away what lawyer got me and I'm charge with full charges and it goes back up to 4th degree and it has a 1 year in jail. I really hope you get some help because you need it and I'm very thankful I was catch on that day because I know that with the other stuff stress and addiction I found out I was hiding from myself I now know I might of did what I try to do suside so my lawyer told me get help I did and I'm glad I did I am now clean fro shoplifting 6 month and 4 days and I'm also clean from drinking and substances abuse 45 days I also don't go shopping alone my husband goes with me because I also have addictions with over shopping and that also lead to over use credit cards they ran out and start shoplifting ...
