Keratoconus Support Group

Keratoconus is a degenerative non-inflammatory disorder of the eye in which structural changes within the cornea cause it to thin and change to a more conical shape than its normal even curve. Keratoconus can cause substantial distortion of the vision, with multiple images, streaking and sensitivity to light all often reported by the patient.

Hello.

I am scheduled for a corneal transplant 5/1/17 and have been overwhelming myself with information. Too much at times.
However, is cardio after a surgery completely out of the question for 6 weeks? I also think I read I couldn't swim for some time. I understand after surgery, but is it indefinite?

i have to say its all been weird. diagnosed with mild KC in left eye 2 years ago. Had CXL on that eye and it seems to have stopped the progression. my right eye is still 20/20. I am farsighted. Contacts irritate my eyes so the doctor recommended glasses. I got glasses with the anti glare stuff and everything. Put them on and wore them all day. I could definitely see but when night fell is when I started seeing halos and whatnot. I took them off but have seen that ever since. They seem to be getting worse but my vision is still 20/20 in my right eye. Does anyone have any explanation for that?
