I hope in the few months you have been on this site, that you have been able to get a better perspective and understanding of your wife and her insecurities/jealousy. I wish more men could come here to see our side in a neutral way.

Do you think that your relationship has improved/changed since coming here on the basis that you are able to support her maybe in a new way? or is it pretty much the same from your side?

Thanks, i appreciate that. Its not always easy to get on here, but i have found it a great help with seeing things from the other side of the coin. When in a relationship it can be real intense and it is hard to see where she is coming from sometimes. I love her so much and yet its not enough, that is the hardest part for me, trying to get her to see just how much i do love her. I hate seeing her get so upset and crying. she says do i make her jealous on purpose, this is when she's caught me looking at a woman or a magazine on the shelf, when in fact i may have been looking at the womans jumper and thinking thats a nice blue colour! I might have been looking in the direction of the magazine but it was the one with the red car on the front i was looking at! Of course she finds it hard to believe me, just as you dont believe your spouses. Things are not always as they seem, but when your in that situation its hard to be objective. She see's what she wants to see.
I think things have improved cos i understand more, its a working progress!

I know that for a long time when my ex and I were together I thought that he was staring at other women. Eventually he started sharing what he was looking at...maybe it was because I asked him? Anyway, it gave me a lot of peace of mind when I'd look in the direction that he was staring and find out that there really wasn't a woman there, and that there was a beautiful car, or shiny rims on a car, or something else completely unrelated to women.

I think that in my current relationship one reason I feel uncomfortable at times is that he hasn't come to that point yet. I do have a tendency to look in the direction which he's staring, and he has started telling me things like "That man's being a total jerk to his wife and kids", or whatever it is. That really really helps!

I also like getting the guy's opinions. Some of us have only been around guys who are total hounds and disrespectful for so long, that it's hard to believe that there are "nice" guys out there. Thanks :)
