Jealousy Support Group
Jealousy typically refers to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that occur when a person believes a valued relationship is being threatened by a rival. This rival may or may not know that he or she is perceived as a threat. If you or a loved one may have an issue with jealousy, this community is a good place to start exploring the issue and get support. We're here for...
A number of years ago I lost the love of my life due to her jealousy. I never gave her any reason to think I was interested in anyone else, but that didn't stop her from being jealous.
One time there was a 3-day weekend coming up and I really needed to get out of town because my job was so stressful. I wanted to get into the mountains and chill out. I asked her to join me but she said she needed to help her adult son with something. I practically begged her to go with me. But in the end I told her I had to go and if necessary I'd go alone.
Well, I went to the high mountains and relaxed, fished and read a good book. 3 days later, after not seeing a single other human, I started on my way home. The first phone booth I came to, I called my honey, to let her know I was ok and on my way home.
The first words out of her mouth were, "Don't bother coming home you S.O.B. I "know " you were ****ing another woman. I tried my best to convince her I was faithful to her, but to no avail. When I got home she was gone. 3 days went by and no word from her. Finally she showed up and when I asked where she had been, she replied, "You had a girl. I had a man".
After a very stressful few weeks the relationship ended. I have never gotten over that. Oh, yeah sure I dated but I never found anyone to compare to the lost love of my life.
