Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Hi out there, just needed to share as I feel so panicy. I have had an awfull attach of IBS, slowing down now but stomach so sore. This morning woke feeling so sick, so sucking mint and sipping ginger ale.I am so fearfull something is going wrong again. I had my gallbladder out3months ago. Sorry to share all this but feel horrid.

Hi FlowerA, Now that the deed is done, you need to get your digestive system back into shape. You need to be eating small amounts of kefir, yogurt, and sauerkraut in order to reseed your gut with the bacteria that were destroyed by the antibiotics you took after the operation. Carbonated drinks are really bad for me, so I'd suggest you at least open the ginger ale a day or two early and pour it into an open mug to allow all the bubbles to go away. A better option for drinking is to make some green tea and then add a slice of fresh ginger to it because the ginger will help your IBS-D symptoms. For problems with constipation (IBS-C) you'd add lemon instead of ginger.

It's pretty normal to have bad digestion after an operation. What you shouldn't have is redness and swelling around where the stitches were.

Thanks for reply. I did have my opperation on April 24th, I did not think my stomach would still be upset. I have been awfull all day, going to Doctor tomorrow but not keen on what he might say it is. Will try ginger ale left a bit. Thanke for caring. Frightened Ann

Sorry got your name wrong, not feeling good today. What do you think of Aloe Vera Gel, I do eat yoghurt and takr probotic pills.

Hi Ann, sorry you are feeling ill,its dreadful, I would try the aloe vera juice, get the stomach soothing one, its got herbs added and its really good, it really calms my stomach down.
Try to relax you will improve soon, are you using heat?
