Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Support Group
Irritable bowel syndrome is a common intestinal disorder that is characterized by bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping, and constipation. Typically no abnormalities appear during standard medical testing, and so irritable bowel syndrome is identified by the symptoms. Although irritable bowel syndrome can cause serious discomfort, the intestines are not harmed.
I just did this, but my doc did it different, I swallowed the capsule and got just one x-ray 5 days later. The markers were gone but my bowels were packed. So he said I did not have PFD and pit me on Amitiza.
I had done the test about 5 years ago were I swallowed the capsule and then had to get an x-ray everyday until the markers were gone.
Good luck
I now take digestive enzymes, ginger root capsules, and glucomannan fiber. I have been doing well with this plan. Ginger is supposed to be good for digestion and motility of the bowels, I find that 1 (550mg) capsule with meals 3x day is good for me. I was taking the fiber with every meal as well but things were a little loose this morning so I might back off of it a little and see what happens.
