Thanks. My doctors are paused. That's why I ask. When I say pause I mean until I find a good PCP my other doctors who know me are paused.

I can't call their office and until I get a PCP it is what it is. Both my case managers are trying to figure and help

Do you take medication? Everyone can get the Covid vaccine, but some medications may reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine. Specifically, medications that reduce the immune response, such as methotrexate, prednisone,azithioprine and biological drugs such as Humira. If you are on one of these types of drugs, which are sometimes used for INFLAMMATORY bowel disease, a decision must be made regarding stopping the drug for 1-2 weeks post vaccine. Even if not stopped you still benefit from the Covid vaccine, but perhaps less so.

Of course you can. The only people who might e concerned would be someone with a history of an allergy to one of the ingredients. Even then, you can get a vaccine with medics, EMTs, etc. on standby. Everyone giving vaccines are trained medical personnel. As for IBS medications, I’ve not heard of any of the contraindications mentioned above and I’ve checked because I have anaphylactic responses to many drugs and foods. Please try to discuss with a professional. You can call your local pharmacy to discuss. Just try to get the vaccine if you haven’t already.
PS I got the Pfizer vaccine with not one issue except a sore arm.
